What do you know about roses and resilience?

Let me tell you a story.

It all started when our rose bushes got out of control, growing so high that they blocked the picturesque view from our panoramic window in the living room.

A decision was made to get rid of them by replanting our “garden queens” at the front of the house.

My mom resettled and pruned them.

For a while, the roses looked dead; their stems turned brown, and no new leaves were formed. I was wondering if they were going to make it.

Nevertheless, we stayed hopeful and gave our bushes of fuchsia roses time to recuperate and revive their royal beauty.

And, finally, today our bush is blooming again with three rosebuds, even brighter than before.

Sometimes we need to start over again, become a tabula rasa, giving ourselves time and patience to see the fruits of all the efforts.

Life teaches us that what feels like the end is often the beginning.

And roses will bloom in abundance, and people will regain their inner light in a new place.

Just wait and see.
