Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken

“To want my share is not a sin”, sings P!NK in “Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken”.

Ugh, I feel that.

Recently, I have been trying to answer one of the common questions HR asks a candidate in a job interview: “How would the person you know describe you as a professional?”.

🗣️The one who wears many hats?

You bet!

🗣️The T-shaped specialist with experience in various industries?

It surely looks like that when you read my resume.

🗣️A lifelong learner who collects certificates and certifications as honorable badges of knowledge?

Guilty!

🗣️A visionary who drives innovation through change?

Yep, got success stories to prove it.

🗣️A storytelling writer with aptitude for plot twists?

Shhhh, it’s a secret.

I know where I want to be career wise.

🎟️Fair and square.

I work hard to get there.

🙇‍♀️My under-eye circles reflect the long evenings after work spent taking courses and preparing for exams.

I have ex-colleagues, mentors and former supervisors supporting me and providing generous recommendations.

🍀I am lucky to know you all!

I even have strangers reaching out to me on LinkedIn for professional advice and feedback.

(I never reject anyone who reaches out for an informational interview or a friendly chat, because I know it takes a lot of courage to reach out to someone you don’t know with a request).

Nevertheless, I am still not quite where I want to be career wise.

Sometimes no matter how hard you perform or how determined you are, stars just refuse to align.

🤷‍♀️Bad luck? Who knows…

👩🏼‍🏫A life lesson? Most certainly…

If you feel like that too, simply know that one day the wheel of samsara will turn and things will change for better.

And it won’t be neither miracle, nor good luck.

⛰️It will be the proof that you never fail unless you stop trying.

🏆After all, a winner is a loser who tried just one more time.
