When I was in High School my English teacher wanted me to take part in the Small Academy of Sciences contest for the best paper written and presented in English .
I chose the topic of the British Royal family and its history. I had to read many books and look through plenty of pictures of the “blue blooded” people to do my project. But it was all worth the time and effort since I took the 2nd prize. Due to the success of my paper, a genuine interest in Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her relatives has never faded away from my heart.
The latest news on Prince Harry and his wife Megan “quitting” the duties and responsibilities of the Royal family members came as a shock to me. It was out of the blue and made mass media explode with theories and guesses.
Personally I think that:
1. History repeats itself quite often ( it’s easy to draw a parallel between the life stories of Prince Harry and Prince Edward VIII. I hope no abduction will take place this time…)
2. Queen must have regretted her previous decision to say “yes” to the marriage of her grandson and Megan Markle, but now it’s a bit late for regrets, isn’t it?
3. Timing and manner of the premature news were both out of line.
4. Generally speaking, when a man shuts down his whole family for the sake of his wife, things usually get ugly.
But, nevertheless, let’s wait and see what the Queen’s decision on this matter will be…
