In these turbulent times, everyone leans towards protection, comfort and peace.
My safe place is my connection to ancestors, the loved ones who passed away, but whose love has never stopped lighting my way.
🌳Two years ago my mom visited us in the US. Together we planted three fruit trees ( a pear tree and two apple trees) as a symbolic gesture to commemorate my great grandfather, my grandfather and my dad. It was our way of honoring their lives.
Sadly, apple trees didn’t make it to their second summer, but our pear tree did.
And today, while we were in the kitchen, my husband asked me if I had seen what happened to one of our trees. I told him I hadn’t. Then he smiled and said that he had noticed a tiny pear growing on it.
I was completely caught off guard. I immediately slipped on my sandals and ran to the backyard, my heart racing with excitement. 🏃🏼♀️
You have no idea what this tiny pear means to me! 🍐
🪽Dad is by my side. He is looking over my family. I feel his presence every day that passes by, but seeing the pear tree thriving and giving fruit is yet another reminder that love never dies.
🫂 It transforms, it becomes subtle, and it touches your heart through vivid dreams you remember when you wake up, birds that come by to say hi from time to time, and lucky coincidences that are not random at all.
We got our first pear. I am joyful today.
