This year the Christmas tree from Kyiv, Ukraine is the winner in the European Best Destinations rating of Christmas Trees from all over Europe. Our green beauty is 25 meters tall, decorated with one and a half thousand toys and trimmed with 3 kilometers of Christmas lights.
The ceremony of opening the winter holidays season was held on December 19, 2018 on St. Sophia Square where lots of people gathered to welcome the beginning of the festivities.
The tastefully ornamented tree does take your breathe away! As the website https://www.europeanbestdestinations.com wrote: “The Kyiv City Council does not do things by halves…”. Ukrainians really feel great need for a Christmas miracle these days and such a lovely Christmas tree adds up to the atmosphere of joy and cheer.
The second best European Christmas tree stands in Vilnius, Lithuania. Here is how it looks…

And finally, the bronze medalist of this year’s Christmas tree competition is helping people feel the holiday spirit in the Italian capital—Rome.

I can’t fail to mention our Philadelphia Christmas tree. It is of an average size but well proportioned. I didn’t see lots of decorations on it when strolling by City Hall. In the daytime it looks rather simple but when it’s lit up, the green Philly beauty looks nice! Here are two photos of it to compare:
Hopefully, after contemplating all these beautiful Christmas trees all my subscribers will immediately get into a very holly and jolly spirit of the coming Christmas and New Year!
Happy Holidays to everyone!
