I turned 40 today. Is it a milestone? 

I think so.
Apart from being a jubilee, it’s a time for self-reflection.

My accomplishments and my challenges, my disillusionment and maturity, my hopes and dreams have all contributed to the person I am now.

At this point in my life, I know a few things for sure:

• A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.
• Timing is always perfect, even if it doesn’t make any sense at first.

• Trust is the greatest vulnerability, but it’s worth taking the risk.
• Being authentic is the ultimate luxury in a world full of imposters.
• Every life is fragile, and so it must be cherished and celebrated.

If 30 was about becoming, then 40 feels like being: with clearer boundaries, quieter confidence, and fewer illusions I need to protect.

I think I am finally at peace with the number 40; it’s not as scary as it seems after all.
