Change is a Winning Game

We are experiencing turbulent times—not in a metaphorical sense.

Have you noticed how quickly time flies by these days, and how tightly packed the events are?

Change can be hard to accept and adjust to, but life doesn’t always give you a choice.

Change is inevitable. Life would be stagnant without it, like a dark and deep man-made lake dragging us to the bottom, cutting off oxygen supply to our lungs and brains.

Change is a strict teacher. It comes and gives you an assessment of your resilience, your confidence, and your determination to learn your life lessons and pass the exam with flying colors.

Change is unapologetic. When the time is right, nothing can stop change from coming into your life and turning it upside down. We do not control people, their actions, or the outcomes fueled by those actions. We can only choose how to react to things we are not able to change.

As the Serenity Prayer goes, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; taking this world as it is and not as I would have it…”

Change is a breath of fresh air. It brings new ideas, new perspectives, and new solutions. Just open the door and let the transformation begin.

I do not say it will be easy, but it will be worth it. Have trust in the timing of your life.

Change is a tool the universe or God uses to redirect you to new people and places, so you can keep on studying new life lessons and, if you are a tedious student, reward you afterward.

Change is a blessing in disguise. What seems like a tragedy now may eventually lead to happiness and peace.

As Billie Holiday sings

“Since the world begin

The old folks say

Everything happens for the best”

P.S. Not to spoil the ending, but everything is going to be OKAY! After all, unlike love that might be a losing game, change is a winning one.

“How does one become a butterfly? You have to want to learn to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” – Trina Paulus
