Pangs of Penelope’s Portrait Painting

Let me share a story with you.

My daughter Alisa was invited to her friend’s birthday party. She had an #idea to make a portrait of the girl’s puppy named Penelope.

We used Penelope’s photos to help with the painting process.

Alisa was so excited to challenge her artistic skills and work on the French bulldog’s portrait, but her enthusiasm seemed to be slowly waning away.

After a few days, I asked her how the project was coming along. Alisa was frustrated since it turned out to be more difficult to depict Penelope than she originally expected.

She was about to give up.

But you know what they say—it’s impossible until it’s done.

I supported her attempts, and we chose a different photo as a reference for the portrait.

And voilà!

Penelope’s painting is finally ready. I hope the birthday girl loves it and hangs it in her room.

Always motivate yourself to push through the limits.

The sky’s our limit.

When you face a task that seems bigger than you thought, simply brainstorm all the possible solutions on how to make it work, choose the best one, and go for it.

One mentor once told me, “If you are afraid to fail, if you have a strong fear of failure, this is the right way. It will pay off after all”.

I am not telling you it’s going to be easy, but I am telling you it will be worth it in the end.

If you needed a sign to keep climbing your personal Mount Everest, this is it!
